LOOKING BACK AT BOSTON: Two of rock music's most enduring landmarks of sonic grandeur are finally about to get grander. After 30 and 28 years, respectively, digitally remastered reissues of Boston's self-titled 1976 debut and its follow-up, 1978's ''Don't Look Back," will hit record store shelves on June 13.

Both ebony porn albums, which have sold a combined total of roughly 25 million copies, have been remastered from the original master tapes by Boston founder Tom Scholz. Then a senior product designer at Polaroid with a master's degree in mechanical engineering from MIT, Scholz recorded the six-song demo that would eventually become the band's debut in his Watertown basement in 1975. The new editions, which are being released by Epic/Legacy, have been expanded into a digipak format and will include extensive liner notes and song-by-song credits by Scholz and Rolling Stone contributing editor David Wild.
